(CDA) BOAT HANDLING COURSE  -  Duration: 2 Days  -  Course Fee: 425 Euros
The BS-AC Boat Handling Course is designed to provide students with instruction in small boat handling, including techniques relevant to diving and related safety knowledge. Also covered are subjects such as seamanship, voyage planning, weather, tides, buoyage and man overboard scenarios.

This course is also available to members of the CDA (Combined Diving Associations), including SAA, SSAC and PADI.

The minimum age for students is 14 years, and no previous experience of boat handling is required.

The course fee is inclusive of the BS-AC Boat Handling Student Pack.

(CDA) DIVER COXSWAIN ASSESSMENT  -  Duration: half a day  -  Course Fee: 150 Euros
The BS-AC Diver Coxswain Assessment  is open to any BS-AC or CDA member over the age of 16 years having either:
●   Completed the BS-AC Boat Handling Course, or equivalent, and have accumulated
     minimum of 5 hours boat handling experience since completing the course, or
●   Have at least 20 hours substantiated/logged boat handling experience.
The aim of the Diver Coxswain assessment is to assess the practical boat handling skills of the candidate, and the underpinning knowledge related to the general handling of small boats specific to boat diving activities.

The CDA Diver Coxswain Certificate will be awarded to those candidates who demonstrate competence in the handling and management of a small powerboat. The assessment comprises 3 sections:
●   Voyage Planning
●   Practical Boat Handling
●   Theory Knowledge
Failure of any one section means failure of the whole!!

DIVER COXSWAIN INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE FOR OPERATORS OF PLEASURE CRAFT (ICC)
The British Sub-Aqua Club has been granted the status of issuing authority for International Certificates for Operators of Pleasure Craft (ICCs) by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).

The BS-AC has been selected by the MCA as the representative for the Combined Diving Associations, and ICCs are therefore available through the BS-AC for all member organisations of the CDA.

The certificate is issued by the BS-AC and is valid for 5 years.
